The Depth & Width Caliper has three more special functions based on the regular calliper. It keeps the basic functions of the regular caliper but adds these special measurement functions: inner groove depth, inner groove width and deep bore diameter. It is specially designed for measuring the dimensions of seal grooves.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Inside Diameter: 0-205mm.
Outside Diameter: 0-205mm.
The outside groove depth (tail of the calliper): 0-11mm.
Steps (head of the calliper): 0-205mm.

NOTES
The problem with the measurement of inner groove depth is that there is no universal tool. The Depth & Width Caliper focuses on using the pin to reach the groove bottom in order to get the depth accurately.

• There are four pins on the back of the caliper, with dimensions: 10mm, 20mm, 3/8”, 3/4”.
• Choose one pin and put it into the hole in question, then press on a flat metal surface and reset the reading to zero.
• Put the calliper in the groove and push until the pin reaches right down to the bottom.

• The negative value displayed on the caliper is the depth of the groove.

• Width Measurement: the jaws at the tail of the Caliper can be pushed into the groove no less than 17mm to get the width measurement directly.

• Deep Hole Diameter Measurement The regular caliper cannot measure the inside diameter if the groove is over 20mm deep. The positioning block of the Depth & Width Caliper is specially designed in an arc and can get the deep hole diameter measurement of the groove within 45mm deep when the bore diameter is not less than 20mm. The exact value should be the reading plus the size of the locating blocks, 20mm or 0.787”.
